Nyxbets Sports Review

On the surface, Nyxbets admittedly doesn’t look like much – it has a very generic design that we’ve seen dozens of times before (and that’s probably a lowball), and at a glance, it doesn’t appear like it has much to offer. Especially when you see that there isn’t any licensing information available for this site, or that it doesn’t offer any bonuses for sports betting players. Truly, is there anything here that could hold a punter’s attention?

The answer is… well, maybe. It depends on what you’re looking for, since – despite all of its many, many flaws – Nyxbets also has one of the most diverse collections of different sports out of any sportsbook we’ve reviewed. You can bet on big sports like football, of course (which we’ll discuss at greater length a bit further down), but also on obscure ones like Super Over Cricket, Floorball, and Squash. And if you’re the type of player whose reaction to this information is something along the lines of “hell yeah, time to bet on some squash,” well, this might just be the bookie for you.

Football Betting

Maybe you’re someone who’s practically salivating at the mouth at the opportunity to bet on obscure sports like futsal… but chances are, you probably just want to bet on football. And who can blame you? It’s the biggest sport in the world, with multiple gigantic leagues and tournaments dedicated just to it! And if that’s your interest, then rest assured, Nyxbets will have you covered. Although it won’t blow your mind or anything, it’ll at least have enough there to cover the basics.

The exact number of matches available here will change depending on the season, but typically you’ll find about 1,000 different games available. This number may seem huge (and it is), but it’s also a common one among bookies, as most of them will offer about that many matches. They’ll include not just those for big tournaments (like UEFA Champion’s League), but also for many smaller leagues from around the world. If you’d like to place some bets on games from Norway or Bulgaria, well, Nyxbets will let you do just that.

Basketball Betting

Nyxbets’ crown jewel is obviously its football section, as it is at many different betting sites, but we were a bit surprised by the #2 spot. It wasn’t the sport that surprised us, mind you – basketball is pretty huge, and although not every bookie features it prominently, there are plenty that will. No, what caught us off-guard were the number of matches: you’ll typically find between 300 and 500 basketball games to bet on here at Nyxbets, which is pretty nuts considering that most sites we’ve reviewed hover at around 200.

As you can imagine, the biggest focus falls on American leagues, like the NBA – but it goes so much deeper than that. You’ll find major international tourneys, like United League and Eurobasket, as well as games from dozens of nations around the world, even smaller ones like Luxembourg! If you’re the type of player who prefers basketball and was always jealous of just how much attention football typically gets at bookies, well… this might just be the site for you.

Esports Betting

If we had to describe Nyxbets’ esports section in one word, it’d certainly be “disorganized”. The various esports on offer are all mixed in with the regular sports in the main sportsbook, so as you’re scrolling down you’ll see, for example, “King of Glory” right in between ice hockey and table tennis. It can be a bit jarring, especially if you’d just rather focus on the esports. If you go to the esports section from the main menu on the left, you’ll access a page specifically for them – but even that could use a little bit of housekeeping to put it in order.

Once you get past the dust and cobwebs, though, you’ll find a pretty decent selection of different games. Of course, all of the popular ones are here, such as “Dota 2”, “League of Legends” or “Counter-Strike”, and they’ve got quite a few matches to boot. But you’ll also find more obscure sports like “Rocket League” or “Mobile Legend”, as well as a bunch of virtuals for games like football and cricket. With a small redesign, this section would be almost perfect!

Live Betting

Last, but certainly not least, we have to examine one of the more interesting sections here: the in-play betting. What concerned us is that it wasn’t really a section at all, but rather a toggle that you can press to automatically filter out all matches except the ones that are currently in progress. Many sites tend to implement such a feature in a rather messy way, and knowing Nyxbets’ history (especially with its sports section), we were a little concerned!

As it turns out though, those concerns were unfounded. The toggle does its job beautifully, and it also gives you the flexibility to apply it wherever it’ll do the most good for you. You can turn it on in the main sports section, or on the page of a particular sport, or even down to the individual league or country, and it’ll instantly show you all matches that are currently being played. A very cool system that makes it easy to find the exact matches you want in a timely manner (which is important considering how quickly the odds tend to change).
