I think that there are a few good things about IgoBet, like its live betting option – and, in general, its user interface is very intuitive and easy to use. However, when looked as a whole, the site’s sportsbook is pretty mediocre at best, and often lacking at worst. Many of its sports options are missing important matches, to the point where we doubt that fans of those sports will find much of value here. Even football has some notable omissions, though thankfully not as many as, say, baseball or rugby. Overall, this is a good fit for new players, but not so much for people who are looking to make a living out of sports betting.

lgoBet Sports Review

IgoBet betting reviewIgoBet is a new bookmaker/casino site hybrid created by Sociedad de Responsabilidad Limitada, a relatively unknown company that, despite its nondescript name, does have several other sites under its belt, such as Tip Top Bet. IgoBet is very similar to those, providing a familiar experience that typically favors quantity over quality – an aspect of it that becomes very obvious in its sports betting section.

Although this bookie will let you place wagers on a bunch of different sports, including many that aren’t very popular or commonly found (like Formula E or Speedway racing), the actual number of matches for most of them will be very low. The vast majority of sports will have less than 30 matches, and many of them a lot less than that. This even includes some popular sports, like rugby, baseball, and American football, all of which are very scantily represented on this site.

Football Betting

Football is the kind of sport that can make or break an online bookie – quite a lot of punters will sign up specifically to place bets on that, whether on the big leagues like UEFA or smaller, national tourneys. IgoBet already commits a grave sin by calling it “Soccer,” but it arguably commits an even bigger one by having significantly fewer games than many other sites. As of the time of writing, we saw around 700-800 different matches, which probably sounds very impressive, but not so much when most of IgoBet’s competitors will have between 1,000 and 2,000.

Naturally, if you’re the type who is primarily interested in the biggest championships, like Bundesliga, then you won’t mind the fact that more obscure, national ones aren’t available. These types of major matches are not only available, but also have a plethora of available betting markets… but they also have that at any other bookie. To stand out, you need to offer much smaller games or unique and interested betting markets, and IgoBet doesn’t quite manage to do that.

Table Tennis Betting

Much to our surprise, the second biggest sport here wasn’t tennis, basketball, or ice hockey – but rather, table tennis, with about 300 different matches. Admittedly, this is a really decent, solid number that is much better than what many other bookies have, so if you’re the type of player who particularly enjoys wagering on table tennis matches, this is a definite point in IgoBet’s favor.

IgoBet Table Tennis

But that high number wasn’t the only thing that surprised us – it’s also important to talk about where the matches originate from. It was our assumption (as is, we imagine, yours) that most of the matches will be from big, international leagues such as Setka Cup, TT Cup, or Challenger Series. Instead, nearly ⅔ of the matches were dedicated to games from the Czech Republic – which is an interesting choice, especially since there weren’t any other national tourneys for table tennis available. Granted, we expect that these national games will shift over time so that the spotlight can fall on different countries and players, but it’s a bit odd that there aren’t multiple national leagues available at once.

Esports Betting

Esports have gotten so big that they’re almost like an entire category in and of themselves – in fact, many bookmakers treat them precisely like that, including IgoBet. Although individual esports can be found in the main sports betting category, it’s much easier (not to mention more convenient) to go into the main menu on the left and then select “Esports” from there, which will take you to a significantly better organized page for them.

As for the actual esports you’ll be able to wager on… the list is mostly okay. The big hitters are all here, such as FIFA, Counter-Strike, Valorant, and League of Legends, as well as a few smaller games like Rainbow Six and StarCraft 2 – but obviously, those have far fewer matches (as they would on any site). Beyond that, the main focus of IgoBet is undoubtedly sports games, since you can place wagers on over a dozen of them. It’s a little odd, considering the fact that they aren’t typically very featured on other sites, but hey, maybe that’s a selling point in and of itself… albeit not a very exciting one.

Live Betting

At last, we reach the live betting section of the site, and one of the things that players typically look forward to the most. After all, who can deny the appeal of placing wagers on games as they’re still taking place? With odds changing within seconds, bookmakers need to offer players the chance to place quick, accurate, and convenient bets, as well as an interface that allows them to very quickly find the matches that they would like to wager on. Luckily, IgoBet passes with flying colors!

You can very easily filter out any non-live matches regardless of which page you’re looking at (whether the main one or that of an individual sport). Just press on the “Live” button in the top-right corner and bam, you’re looking at exclusively games that are currently being played! Some of them will have a few bells and whistles (like live play-by-play for football), but most of them will simply show you their shifting odds and let you wager from there. The actual live betting process was very smooth, so we imagine most people would have no problem betting at their exact most desired odds!

Frequently Asked Questions

You can make bets on over 30 different sports – however, many of them will have very few matches, and some will be seasonal, so the exact number might shift.

Yes, you can wager on virtuals from the esports section – check our description of it above to see how to enter it.

Betting markets will change depending on what matches you’re looking at. Big league matches with a lot of hype around them, like for UEFA Champion’s League or Bundesliga, will let you bet on pretty much anything, down to individual players. Most matches (especially for less popular sports) will mostly stick to 1×2 and exact score, though.

Yes, you can use a handful of cryptos here, such as Bitcoin or Tether.

No, we don’t believe that IgoBet is legit. The company behind it is deliberately trying to conceal its presence online, and it is also not licensed, claiming a business license in Costa Rica as being equivalent to a casino license (which it isn’t).
