Bookofbet Sports Review
Considering the fact that Bookofbet has the word “bet” in its title, you might assume that its main priority is sports betting – clue’s in the name, right? Sure, there are some casinos that also let you bet on football as an extra bonus, but here, logic dictates it should be the other way around, and it’s the casino section that’s the afterthought… right? Alas, we’re here to burst your bubble, as Bookofbet’s sportsbook is a gigantic disappointment in practically every way.
We’re not just talking about the bonuses or something like that (which are also quite a letdown) – no, the issue is a lot more fundamental. For starters, you’ll only be able to place bets on a mere ten sports, instead of the dozens you’d be able to find at other sites. At first we thought that maybe the rest were just hidden, and these ten are the main ones, but nope – even after thoroughly searching everything, we weren’t able to find any evidence that you can wager on more than these sports. You can’t even place bets on esports, but at least you can rest easy in the knowledge that you can bet on futsal…
Football Betting
Football is king, and it doesn’t matter which casino site you choose to visit, you’ll always find hundreds upon hundreds of matches for it from all around the world, ranging from the big leagues all the way down to smaller national-level events around the world. Most betting sites have over a thousand events, and even the ones that don’t quite get that far will have well over 500. Here at Bookofbet, it’s a little difficult to determine the exact number, as it’s never stated by the site – but we estimate it to be about 100 to 200 games, depending on the time.
Now, to play devil’s advocate, we must point out that the site seems laser-focused on bigger events, like UEFA (for example, as of the time of writing most of the available matches were for qualifications, and/or for big national tournaments like Copa Argentina). So while other sites will give you a huge selection of smaller events that you might be interested in, Bookofbet emphasizes the big events that it knows the majority of its players WILL be interested in. But at the same time, it’s not like other bookies don’t give you that as well. They just offer a lot more on top of it.
Basketball Betting
Basketball is the second biggest sport here at Bookofbet, but alas, it suffers from the same exact issue as football: a big focus on the major league matches, barely any presence beyond that. It should come as no surprise that most of the games you’ll be able to wager on will be from the NBA – in fact, opening up the basketball section showed us only a handful of games from other regions, like Venezuela.
Another aspect where Bookofbet struggles here is in the betting markets. This was already somewhat of an issue with football, but it’s especially exacerbated here, as all matches except for the really huge ones will have just a few basic markets. Sure, most players will probably want to just bet on 1×2, but modern gambling has evolved to allow for a significantly larger selection of bets. In fact, you pretty much need to bet on different things if you want to build an acca betslip, and that’s not always possible with basketball.
Tennis Betting
Usually, this is the part where we discuss esports – but as mentioned earlier, Bookofbet doesn’t have any of those, which is a colossal downside that we can easily see alienating many players. It’s one thing to only have a few major esports presents (like Dota 2 and Counter-Strike), but to have none means dropping one of the biggest areas in sports betting for practically no reason.
Instead, we’ll focus on tennis – one of the bigger categories here. But sadly there isn’t too much to say, since the main issues present in football and basketball can very much be found in tennis as well. Specifically, you won’t find a lot of matches (or any at all, actually) that aren’t from the big international tournaments like ATP and WTA, and even when it comes to those, the selection of games and betting matches will be pretty limited. If you’re a fan of tennis betting, there are a lot more sites that will serve you a lot better than Bookofbet ever could.
Live Betting
And finally, we get to the live betting portion – one of the most important aspects of any modern bookmaker. The good news about it here at Bookofbet is that it works, and that, by pressing a single button (which is very conveniently placed on both mobile and desktop), you’ll display only the matches that are currently in progress. It’s worth noting that this isn’t a toggle that you can select, but a separate page designed to display only live games. Bit of a primitive solution, but if it’s stupid and it works, it’s not stupid.
The bad news is that, like with the rest of the sports section, there just isn’t a lot here. We counted every single live game available at a random point while researching our review, and there were 26. That’s across all sports by the way, not just football. At this point… do you even need a dedicated live page? Might as well just browse the main sportsbook and pick out the two dozen games that are in progress from there!
Frequently Asked Questions
There are only ten different sports available here, a substantially lower number compared to most other sportsbooks.
No, as far as we can tell, virtuals aren’t available here. In fact, even esports aren’t present.
Sadly, this is a major issue with the site: for most matches, you’ll only see the “major” betting markets like 1×2 or exact score. Even relatively popular markets like Asian handicap are only seen on the big games, which is very disappointing.
Yes, this site lets you use plenty of cryptos for deposits and withdrawals, including not only the popular ones like Bitcoin, but also a few less commonly found ones like Ripple and Tron.
As far as we can tell, Bookofbet is, in fact, safe – as it’s fully licensed and regulated, and its parent company seems to have a good reputation. With that said, there are other reasons why it may not be the best fit for you.

As a punter, I tend to write these reviews with the intention of helping other punters – people who are primarily interested in betting on football or esports, and maybe also have an interest in casino games, or maybe not. But it’s very clear that this isn’t who Bookofbet is targeting. Instead, the site is aimed at people who prefer slots and blackjack first, and maybe also would like to place a bet or two on the side, if they get around to it. Assuming you’re a fellow punter, I’m afraid you won’t find much of value here. Maybe you can recommend it to your aunt who likes slots and also wants to bet on Arsenal games, though?
