BetFrost Sports Review
We all love to place bets on the most hotly anticipated matches, but sadly, many online bookmakers give us a rather frosty reception: bad or no bonuses, very few sports to wager on, low withdrawal limits… Does BetFrost manage to, contrary to its name, offer us that warm welcome we so desperately need? Well, we wouldn’t say that it’s the most amazing betting site we’ve ever seen, but it ultimately does more things right than wrong.
One of its main issues, if you can call it that, is that its emphasis fall more strongly on the casino side of things than on the betting side. Most of the bonuses and promotions you’ll find here (especially the reload offers) are aimed at casino players, while us punters get both less bonuses and less betting options. With that said, it’s not like there aren’t any bonuses at all, and in terms of sports, BetFrost manages to include most of the classics.
Obviously the emphasis falls on the sports everyone wants to wager on, like football, tennis, basketball, or rugby, but you’ll also find some more obscure picks like racing, futsal, and even special bets (like elections or TV shows). If you’re a hardcore punter who is looking for obscure, specific matches, or are obsessively hunting for the best odds, this site won’t be for you. But anyone else should find it more than satisfactory!
Football Betting
The first thing you’ll see upon opening BetFrost’s sports page is football – which makes sense, given that it’s the most popular sport in the world. In fact, we wouldn’t be exaggerating if we said that it has practically taken over the entire page: instead of alternative sports, like basketball, the first thing you’ll see near the top are football leagues like UEFA and Bundesliga, alongside the most prominent matches from each. It’s obvious that this is where most of the focus went, and considering that most punters bet primarily or exclusively on football, we think that’s okay.
But just because the big leagues are most prominent (and feature the most betting markets) doesn’t mean smaller ones are left in the dust. You’ll be able to wager on over 1,000 different matches from all over the world, even from smaller nations like Bulgaria or Estonia. Again, the diversity of games or ways to bet isn’t as good as with the big leagues, but that’s completely okay. What’s here already would give most players – especially internationals looking to bet on their own country’s championships – the chance to make some satisfying bets!
Basketball Betting
As mentioned earlier, other matches don’t have nearly the same attention paid to them here at BetFrost as football – but that doesn’t mean they’re gone entirely. Take, for example, basketball, one of the most popular games besides football: a fact that is properly reflected here, with about 100 to 200 different matches available depending on the season. As can be expected, most of those games are from the NBA (or adjacent to it), but we were surprised to also find games from Euroleague and other non-NBA championships. Which earns the site some brownie points!
Just like the matches, the betting markets available here aren’t as diverse as they were for football, but they’re enough. You’ll be able to bet not just on the winner, but also on who will score first, points spread, both teams to score, and many other popular markets. Of course, if you’re looking at more niche matches, then you won’t find much more than 1×2 – but since most of the games here belong to big leagues like NBA, that problem isn’t as big as it would be at a site with more available games.
Esports Betting
Most of the sports available here at BetFrost are actually represented pretty well: as mentioned earlier, both football and basketball have a really good diversity of different matches and ways to bet. Alas, the same can’t be said of esports, which under normal circumstances is one of the richest and most diverse sections of any bookmaker – yet here, the only thing you’ll find is the illusion of diversity.
That’s because BetFrost doesn’t just have one category for esports, but two: “Esports FPS and “Esports MOBA”. That’s reasonable, as although there are some exceptions (such as Rocket League), most betting games are either FPS (like Overwatch or Rainbow Six) or MOBAs (like Dota 2). And yet, none of those games are featured here. “Esports FPS” only houses matches for Counter-Strike 2, and “Esports MOBA” just has League of Legends. So first of all, where are the rest of the games? And second of all, why have two categories for just two games?
Live Betting
The final thing we need to discuss is a feature unique to online bookmakers (and typically not present at land-based betting points): the ability to place bets on ongoing games. You might not think much of it if you haven’t tried it, but trust us, it entirely changes the dynamic of the game when you need to think on the fly about where the game is going, especially with odds changing dynamically with each new development. If that sounds remotely exciting, then you’re going to love the way BetFrost has implemented it.
Instead of having its own, dedicated “live” page, the site only has a toggle you can use to filter out any non-live matches. In turn, all the currently ongoing games will slightly change the way they’re displayed to add more information, including how long it takes for the game to end, what the current 1×2 odds are, and more. And once you select a match and open it, you’ll find a bunch more information that can help you fill out your betslip, like a live play-by-play showing the position of all players and the ball. While by no means unique, BetFrost’s implementation of live betting is surprisingly elegant!
Frequently Asked Questions
As of the time of writing, you can wager on about 25 different sports – though that number may not be accurate when you’re reading, since many of the sports here are seasonal and cycle in and out. Sports without any matches are hidden by default.
Yes, virtual sports are available, but you’ll only find them at the top of the interface when you’re on the sports page. You won’t find them in the main menu on the left.
This depends in no small part not just on the particular sport you’re betting on, but also on how popular the match is. If you’re betting on NBA or Premier Leeague, you can expect the full roster of betting markets: handicaps, corners, first to score, and so on. Smaller games will mostly have the basics, like winner or score.
Yes, you can place bets using a great number of different cryptos, including both popular ones (Bitcoin) and more obscure ones (Ripple).
Although it’s impossible to say for sure, we believe that BetFrost is, in fact, a safe and reliable bookie. It’s fully licensed, has an overall good reputation with players, and more importantly, it belongs to a very large company with dozens of betting sites. If they wanted to scam people, they wouldn’t be starting now.

Like I said near the beginning of the article, BetFrost’s sports offerings aren’t anything mind-blowing, but they’re still going to be more than sufficient for the vast majority of players. If you’re looking to just casually bet on UEFA Champion’s League matches, it has you covered. If you’re looking for something a little more obscure, you have a decent chance at fighting it (as long as it’s not esports, of course). Of course, this is by no means unique, since every other bookmaker in the world also gives you the option to bet on those things. I don’t think there’s anything in this particular section that would make BetFrost stand out… but also, I don’t think that this was the intention, either. I think the purpose of the site is to provide a solid betting experience that captures the most popular betting options – and, for the most part, it succeeds in that.
