Overall, I was pretty happy with the betting options available at Winsane. Granted, it wasn’t anything that blew me away, despite the really good number of available sports… but it was enough. After all, most people want to place bets on football, and maybe a few other, less popular sports, and Winsane provides more than enough to keep those people happy.

Special attention should be brought to the site’s many betting markets, which are diverse, fun, and most importantly, available for a wide variety of matches and sports and not just for the biggest ones. Being able to build large accas for minor league matches, or ones for sports that aren’t football, basketball, tennis, or esports, is immensely satisfying, and not something that is done particularly well at most bookmakers. So, Winsane gets a thumbs up from me – even if I feel like there’s plenty of room for improvement.

Winsane Sports Review

Winsane sports betting reviewWinsane is, as of the time of writing, a very new online betting site created and operated by SoftGenius N.V., a company that is primarily specialized in online casinos like Sushi Casino and Spinaro Casino. While Winsane is hardly their first foray into sports betting (for example, the aforementioned sites have an optional sports betting section), it’s the first one that seems to have put sports gambling as its primary focus.

This is evident in the number of different sports available to players. Whether you’re here to gamble on football (as most people are), on less popular sports like tennis and rugby, or even on ones that are rarely represented in the world of betting (like squash and lacrosse), you’ll find plenty of matches here to fit your preference. And when you throw in some really great bonuses aimed at sports fans, as well as a decent casino section for those looking for a distraction, you get a site that’s well worth the recommendation.

Football Betting

Most people who engage in sports betting do so mostly because they want to wager on their most anticipated football matches – and Winsane does not disappoint in that regard. Once you create your account, you’ll have access to well over 1,000 different football games from a wide variety of leagues and championships, both local and international.

It should come as no surprise that the really big and famous tournaments, like Champion’s League, are the focus of Winsane’s football section. But going past that, the site also gives you the option to bet on many country-specific matches from leagues like Australia’s A-League or Norway’s Eliteserien. What we liked a lot is that even those smaller matches have plenty of markets you can bet on – not just 1×2 and totals, but also handicaps, player specials, corners, and extra.

Basketball Betting

The second most popular gambling activity available at Winsane is basketball, and honestly, while it doesn’t come anywhere near the number of matches available for football, it still provides a very good and diverse selection. At any moment you’ll be able to wager on anywhere between 300 and 500 different matches, with them growing and decreasing in number depending on the season.

Winsane basketball betting

Just like with football, though, even the matches from smaller leagues like Brazil’s NBB will offer plenty of different betting markets. Most notable is the ability to wager independently on each quarter, and thus (theoretically) making a bet builder with up to 5 wagers for the same match based on just the scores. Which is a really cool and very underrated feature that we don’t see too much in basketball betting!

Esports Betting

Esports betting is very prevalent here at Winsane, as it is at many other sites – but here, it’s approached in a rather weird and non-intuitive way. As far as we can tell, it’s not possible to filter out the matches based on games, and instead you’ll just see a big list of all matches with tiny icons to denominate which game they’re for. It’s an odd system that is clearly aimed more at gamblers than at gamers, since if you’re, say, a DOTA 2 fan who wishes to gamble on a match you’re excited about, you won’t be able to just check out the DOTA 2 games, you have to browse all esports together.

To Winsane’s credit, there are a lot of esports here: not just DOTA, but also League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Rainbow Six Siege, and Rocket League, among others. Many of the popular tournaments and leagues are, of course, represented, though we found that many smaller matches were lacking. Another thing that we disliked was the lack of live streaming on site – a lot of these games are already streamed live on Twitch as it is, it’d be trivial to incorporate that into the Winsane interface, so why haven’t they?

Live Betting

It’s impossible to truly discuss an online betting site without talking about live betting! While this trend is a relatively new one, there’s no doubt that it’s here to say, and so every bookmaker needs to put an emphasis on it – doubly so if they’re brand new. And, to Winsane’s credit, they’ve done just that, with a large and expansive live section that’s separate from the main sports betting one.

With a click or a tap, you’ll get a list of every match that’s currently ongoing, and you can further filter them out based on sports or leagues. One really cool thing Winsane does is that it’ll display any odds you like in this big list – by default it’ll show you every match’s 1×2 and Totals odds, but you can change it to other options like Draw or Double Chance very easily so you can compare those at a glance. Very handy!
