Svenplay Sports Review
With a name like “Svenplay”, it becomes immediately obvious that this is a betting site that’s targeting Europe. You can see that in every aspect of its being, starting from its availability (duh – you won’t be able to access it in most countries outside of Europe) and ending with the available bonuses. Hell, even the aesthetics of the site look very European-inspired – and yet, few things match the theme quite like the sportsbook.
Just by glancing at Svenplay’s sports betting page, you can immediately see that it’s targeting a European playerbase. For starters, football seems to be the big focus, which is always the case at most other bookies, sure, but here you’ll find well over 1,000 different matches for it! Its other popular games – tennis, volleyball, table tennis, and basketball – are all incredibly popular in Europe, while betting options that are more popular in the West, like esports, are de-emphasized. Obviously, if you’re a European who’s into betting on those sports, then the quantity is there. The question is, how does Svenplay handle the quality?
Football Betting
As mentioned earlier, Svenplay is a site that’s squarely directed at European players – and if there’s anything Europeans like, it’s football! Which is why the site has placed such a huge emphasis on it (even if it calls it “soccer”, which is hilarious, but we’ll let it slide). When you open the Sports page, you’ll automatically see dozens upon dozens of different football matches displayed by default, with literally thousands more being a click or a tap away. It’s an impressive collection!
Of course, the most high-priority among these matches will be those from big leagues, like UEFA Champion’s League – these are the kinds of games that will be displayed by default on the main sports page. However, if you dig just a little deeper, you can find matches for basically every official league around the world, from both big markets for football (like England with its Premier League or Germany with Bundesliga) and smaller ones, like Bulgaria or Kenya. Between this and the numerous betting markets that each site offers, you’re practically guaranteed a wide selection of bets no matter where your interests lie!
Tennis Betting
Much to our surprise, it was tennis that earned the coveted #2 spot here at Svenplay, with over 400 different matches to pick from. We say “to our surprise” because tennis doesn’t often get the spotlight like that – many other betting sites choose to emphasize basketball, American football, or even table tennis over its ‘big brother’, so this is great news for people who prefer the more intense one-on-one matches over football’s team-based games.
What isn’t surprising at all, though, is that the games you’ll be betting on mostly come from international championships, like ATP and WTA. There really aren’t a lot of national-level games here, which makes sense given that professional tennis as a whole has de-emphasized them over international matchups, but it might still be disappointing to some. Still, Svenplay makes up for it by allowing you to wager on a plethora of betting markets, such as first to score or set correct score.
Esports Betting
Right off the bat, we need to make it very clear that Svenplay hasn’t placed a particularly big emphasis on esports. We know that there are many people who are quite interested in them, to the point where there are many sites that either entirely or primarily focus on videogame wagers… but Svenplay isn’t one of them. Although it has a lot of different esport categories, most of them are almost or completely empty, including some very popular ones that would, all by themselves, have more matches at other betting sites than the entire esports section has here.
We are, of course, talking about Dota 2 and Counter-Strike, which feel barely represented, especially Dota. Beyond those two, you’ll be able to bet on seven additional games, but again, the vast majority of them will not give you much to actually bet on. Take, for example, Rocket League, which had a whopping 1 match as of the time of writing. What’s even the point of having it here at all if its presence will be so hilariously minimal?
Live Betting
At last, we arrive at live betting – aka, the feature that so many punters would swear by as THE reason to bet online as opposed to in person! And sure, if you haven’t experienced it, you might feel like it isn’t worth the hype – but trust us, there’s nothing quite like making that perfect bet at the exact perfect time just before a major development happens and completely changes the tide of the game in your favor! Svenplay will also allow you to place these types of bets, but the feature here isn’t as emphasized as it is at other sites.
For starters, you won’t get to see any live bets by default – and instead will need to go to either the live page or the individual pages for each sport before the site will display any in-progress games. This isn’t a huge deal, since it just takes a few extra clicks before you can find the matches you’d want to bet on, but given that they’re in progress, the few extra seconds it takes for you to put in those clicks might have already shifted the odds. Again, not a huge deal, but something that might alienate people who primarily wager on live games.
Frequently Asked Questions
There are over 40 different sports available here – however, most of them will only have a small handful of matches, or none at all.
No, as far as we could tell, virtuals aren’t available here. You can bet on e-football and e-basketball, but that’s not quite the same thing.
This will depend entirely on the sport you’re looking to wager on. Of course, there are some basic markets (like 1×2 or exact score) that will be universally available for every sport that’s keeping scores and winners at all! However, more specific markets (like Asian handicap) will depend on the exact sport. Furthermore, sometimes the availability of markets will come down to the individual match.
No, unfortunately Svenplay does not currently support crypto. Although there’s always a chance that some will be added at a later date, that is unlikely.
Despite the fact that Svenplay has a license and appears to be a legitimate betting site, it also has a very bad reputation with its players, with dozens of negative user reviews out there across various forums. Some won’t care for other players’ opinions, but for others, that kind of feedback is everything – and if you belong to the latter category, we would recommend that you stay away from Svenplay.

I think that, at the end of the day, whether you like Svenplay or not will be purely subjective. Sure, that’s the case for every bookie, but it’s especially true here, given the very specific vision Svenplay’s creators had for the site. Basically, if you like betting on the “big 5” sports, then you’ll be good to go. The bookmaker has lots of different matches for them, as well as betting markets for them. However, once you step outside of that ‘comfort zone’, there really isn’t much else here. Sure, on paper you’ll find dozens and dozens of sports, but in practice, most of them barely have anything worth betting on. So that can be a bit disappointing for a lot of people.
