Stonevegas Sports Review
The Flintstones were once a cornerstone (hah) of pop culture, even if they’ve since faded from the public consciousness. Make no mistake, though: those of us who are a little bit older still remember how important they were, receiving not one, but two big screen adaptations. The second one, “Viva Rock Vegas”, was the clear inspiration behind Stonevegas’ theme – which you can see quite plainly from lawyer-friendly versions of the Flintstones characters populating every corner of it.
There’s just one problem, though: the “Rock Vegas” movie focused extensively on casino gaming, not on sports betting, and Stonevegas has clearly decided to take inspiration from that. Although its casino section is pretty great (as we’ll elaborate upon when we discuss it in its own section later), its sports betting one leaves a lot to be desired. The site’s betting options are extremely limited, with many of the more niche ones either having very few matches in them (like Formula 1) or missing entirely (like MMA). It’s by no means the worst sportsbook in the world, but it’s aggressively mediocre, and might not be enough to retain the attention of a seasoned punter.
Football Betting
If you’re surprised by the fact that football has by far the most matches out of any sport here, then welcome to your first sportsbook, we’re happy to have you! Indeed, as the most popular sport in the world, football has always had a top spot will well over a thousand matches, often two thousand. Stonevegas doesn’t quite reach those heights (as of the time of writing there were about 1,500 different games you could wager on), but the selection was still more than acceptable – especially for casual players.
Practically every major league game, be it from UEFA Champion’s League, Premier League, Bundesliga, etc, is represented here – and with a ton of betting markets to boot! Whether you just want to make a 1×2 bet or are looking for something a little deeper (like 1st goal method or Asian handicap), chances are you’ll find it! Things get a little bit more scarce as we start to explore the national-level games, with most of them not quite having the same variety of markets as the big league games, but we were still relatively happy with what was there.
Basketball Betting
Football being the #1 sport at any random bookie is a foregone conclusion, but the #2 spot can vary quite greatly – which is part of the reason why people might be looking to join different bookies. Here at Stonevegas, that honor goes to basketball, and it’s not even close: as of the time of writing it had over 160 different matches to wager on, while almost none of the other sports came anywhere near 100. This lack of matches is, sadly, another major issue that the bookmaker has, but it’s not one we’ll presently discuss.
Focusing back on basketball, it should come as no surprise that the most popular matches are NBA ones – but what DID surprise us was the diversity of options from countries besides the US! Whether you’re looking for international championships like Euroleague and country-specific ones like Italy’s Serie A or Australia’s NBL, chances are you’ll find it! This makes Stonevegas an excellent option for fans of basketball, even if the relatively low number of available betting markets for most of those matches did leave a somewhat negative impression.
Esports Betting
Esports may be a relative newcomer to the world of sports betting, but make no mistake: they’re a rising star, and something that every bookie should take notice of. At first glance, it seems like Stonevegas has done just that, as it has not one, but two distinct categories for them: one for FPS games, and one for MOBAs. Wow! Do Stonevegas really have so many different games here that they couldn’t even fit them all into the same category?!
No. They only have three games you can wager on: Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, and Valorant – and Valorant has next to no matches. What about other big games from those genres, such as Dota 2? The International is one of the biggest e-sports events in the world, and you’re telling me you can’t wager on it here? How about games that don’t fit these categories, yet still have a competitive scene, like Rocket League? It’s truly disappointing how many holes this category has.
Live Betting
Being able to place wagers on games that are currently ongoing is honestly one of the coolest things you could do at any betting site, but even though most of them have this function available, not all manage to pull it off well. Luckily, Stonevegas manages to keep things simple, which is exactly what it needed to do. Instead of having a dedicated section specifically for in-play bets, all it offers is a toggle above the list of matches (next to Popular Bets). Select it, and boom, you’re viewing every game that is currently played!
Beyond that, there aren’t a lot of bells and whistles here. Some football games might have an in-play graph, but most will only display the live score in its place. As for the rest of the sports, you won’t find any such extras – for example, we found some Valorant matches being played live while researching this section, and yet there was no way to actually watch them even though they were being livestreamed on Twitch. None of those things are deal breakers, especially since the core of live betting works great, but it would’ve been nice to have a few more extras.
Frequently Asked Questions
Around 25 different sports are available here, though some of them are present only seasonally.
Yes, but they’re a bit harder to find since they’re not present in the side menu on the left. Instead, you’ll want to look for them among the icons near the top.
That will depend on the particular sport you’re looking to wager on. A lot of sports, like esports, will barely offer any betting markets besides stuff like betting on the winner. On the other hand, football matches (especially those from major leagues) will let you bet on anything, like who’ll score first or what the halftime score will be.
Yes, you can use a ton of different crypto coins here, including many obscure ones like Ripple!
Yes, this is a safe and reliable bookie. You don’t need to worry about getting scammed, as the site is owned and operated by NovaForge, a very famous and prestigious company. Furthermore, NovaForge is licensed by Anjouan, so you can turn to them if you feel like you’ve been wronged.

Whether you’ll enjoy the sports section of Stonevegas (and, potentially, Stonevegas as a whole) will depend on what you’re looking to get out of it. I admit, you can say this about any site, but it’s especially true here simply because it wears its pros and cons on its sleeve. If you’re a new punter who’s only just now getting into the world of sports betting, then I think there’s a good chance you’ll love it here. Same if you’re a basketball fan, since you’ll find a really decent selection of international matches. But if you’re a hardcore gambler looking to bet on more obscure things, especially on esport, I’d say move along. This likely won’t be the sportsbook for you.
