SlotRize Is it Legit?
SlotRize – is it legit?
We believe that SlotRize is perfectly legitimate, even if it does not really operate under an iGaming license. That is because of the strict security features the bookie has in place, including both responsible gambling tools and privacy protections.
Why do we think that?
First off, we should mention that there is sparse information on the ownership and license of the online gambling house in the Terms and Conditions of the gambling house. However, we were able to determine that it was owned and run by a company called Neon Games SRL, based in Costa Rica.
Now, Costa Rica is not a country that regulates its online gambling space at all. There is no need to obtain any license if you are the owner of a company that wants to start offering betting or online casino games there. You just need to incorporate within the country, which is a cheap and quick process.
So, it’s fair to say that, as of the time of writing, SlotRize is not a licensed online casino. At the same time, we do stand by what we said at the top, that it is a legitimate bookie. That is because of the protections the online gambling house has in place for punters. Here are the responsible gambling tools that you can use within it:
- Deposit limits: Deposit limits are one of the easiest ways to get control over your spending in the online bookie, because you will be able to set up these kinds of limits per week, per month, and so on. Once the limit, which you can align with your iGaming budget for the respective period of time, is up, you will not be able to cash in to the online gambling house until the period of time is up. This is also a relatively unobtrusive measure, perfect for those who are just looking to gamble a bit more responsibly, but might not want to look into the stricter measures below:
- Account time-outs: A time-out is a period of time during which you will not be able to enter your account with the online gambling house, place bets, and so on. During the time-out, you will be able to cool down and evaluate whether you are gambling responsibly, whether you are safe to come back to the betting site, or if it would be better to check out the stricter account restrictions available at the bookie. The time-out could be a couple of weeks, a couple of months, or even over a year.
- Account closure: Finally, if you need to take a decisive step and prevent yourself from playing in the online casino entirely, you will be able to do so via the Account Closure option that the bookie provides access to. That said, if you are interested in closing down your account with the betting site, this is a permanent step, so consider it carefully. You can do so by contacting the Support of the gambling house and having them walk you through the process of deactivating your account with the betting site.
And, in a more technical sense, the bookie is safe because of the data encryption rules that it operates under, which are able to protect your personal information within the betting site. For instance, those include the 256-bit SSL encryption standard that you can see on all online websites that process the personal information of their users.
The only downside of the online gambling house operating without a license is the fact that we cannot be sure that its games have actually been RNG tested and that they are provably fair. Even though that is claimed on the website of the bookie, it is not under any regulatory obligation to actually make it so.
But, as far as we are concerned, we believe that the games are likely provably fair, too, given the extent to which the unlicensed casino has gone to protect its players in terms of responsible gambling tools, and so on.
