MadCasino Sports Review
We’re all mad down here! Who else would risk their hard-earned money just to support their favourite sports team? But hey, madness isn’t necessarily something bad: quite the opposite, it’s what gives us the drive to keep wagering even when the odds are against us! MadCasino has dispensed with the notion of luxury and riches that other casinos put on the forefront, instead replacing it with a theme that reflects us all a little bit more than we’d be comfortable to admit.
Make no mistake about one thing, though: MadCasino is, in fact, a casino. Yes, we know that we review betting sites, and yes, there is a sportsbook here, but that sportsbook is secondary to the casino games. You can see that not only in the auxiliary aspects (like the bonuses, which are more numerous for casinos than for sports), but also in the number of offerings. Whereas the casino section enjoys a ton of different slots and live titles, the sports betting one is a lot more limited in terms of both the overall number of sports and the amount of matches within. Many popular sports, like tennis or volleyball, will only have a few dozen matches present here, which might be a turn-off for more seasoned players.
Football Betting
As mad as MadCasino can be at times, even they aren’t crazy enough to dethrone football from its rightful spot! The king of games is the very first thing you’ll see once you open up the site’s sports page, with major league games (from UEFA, Premier or Bundesliga, whichever is currently in season) greeting you before you’ve even scrolled down to view the rest of the sports. You can also find a ton of matches from smaller leagues (typically national ones), with the total number being about 1,500 – less than what some other bookies offer, but still more than satisfactory.
Another thing we really liked about the selection was the wide amount of betting markets that many of the matches (especially the bigger ones) allow you to wager on. Sure, if you’re betting on games from smaller countries like Romania or Estonia, you might not have a bunch of options per match – but the bigger the game, the more markets there will be. Some of them will be very popular, like Asian handicap or exact score, while others are quite rare, like 1st goal method or corners spread. In our eyes, that diversity of matches more than makes up for the lower amount of games!
Basketball Betting
Different sportsbooks will have a different sport come right after football – for some it’ll be tennis, for others ice hockey, we’ve even seen greyhound racing and table tennis! Well, the one you’ll encounter at MadCasino is basketball, and we must admit, the selection is very impressive! Typically you’re bound to find anywhere between 150 and 200 different matches to bet on, which is huge considering the fact that most other betting sites will have maybe a third of that number, if that.
The discrepancy stems from the fact that most other bookies will prioritize NBA matches, which makes sense – they’re extremely popular around the world, and by far the most frequently wagered upon. MadCasino, however, extends its roster of games internationally, especially emphasizing European tournaments. Once you sign up, you’ll be able to bet not only on major European championships like Euroleague, but also on national-level games from various countries on the continent (and beyond). Which, once again, is well worth praising.
Esports Betting
We’ve praised MadCasino’s football and basketball betting quite a lot, which is why now it’s time for us to be a little bit critical of it, since not every section in its sportsbook deserves to be showered in compliments. Take, for example, esports – a betting option that’s typically so popular we’ve seen entire websites dedicated just to it. Here, though, it’s nothing more than an afterthought. While at first glance it appears that there are so many games they needed not one, but two esports categories, the truth is that said categories
We are, of course, referring to “Esports MOBA” and “Esports FPS” – and while it makes sense to separate them, given how many individual esports there are in each category, what doesn’t make sense is MadCasino having just one of them. That’s right: “Esports FPS” only has Counter-Strike 2 matches, and “Esports MOBA” – only League of Legends one. What about Dota 2 and Overwatch? What about games that don’t belong to those genres, like Starcraft an Rocket League? Well, if you want to bet on those, you’d best find a different site.
Live Betting
Although some players regard live betting as just an option, a small part in the much bigger sportsbook, to us it’s an essential feature that can either be done really well or extremely poorly. Luckily, MadCasino belongs to the former category, as although its live bets aren’t anything extraordinary, they’re more than decent enough to do the job. For starters, we should mention that you won’t find live bets in their own page (even if the user interface implies you will), and instead it’s a toggle that, when selected, will filter out any games from the main sports page except ones currently being played.
This, at first, made us a bit concerned that the user interface will be lacking, that there will be missing features or information not being displayed correctly – but those concerns turned out to be for naught. All the important information (like the current odds and how long the match has left) will be displayed right there in the main menu, and anything else (like the live play-by-play) can be accessed from the individual match page. There’s little else we could ask of this section – it just works!
Frequently Asked Questions
As of the time of writing, about 25 sports are available – though that number will shift slightly as some sports come in and out of season.
Yes, but you won’t find them in the left-hand menu, where all the other sports are located. Instead, they’ll be among the icons at the top of the interface once you’re on the sports page.
Big matches, like those for UEFA Champion’s League, will feature a plethora of betting markets – not just betting on the winner and score, but also on yellow cards, corners, handicaps, etc. Meanwhile, smaller matches will mostly stick to the bigger markets like 1×2.
Indeed, and the selection of available cryptos is very big! For more information, make sure to read the payments section of our review!
In stark contrast to its name, MadCasino is actually quite sane, and there’s a very low chance you’ll get scammed – or so we believe, anyway. Ultimately we can only judge the sites we review based on the evidence provided, and that evidence points to Mad being trustworthy. If you end up scammed anyway, at least you can file an official complaint with a regulator.

As a whole, I liked the sports section of MadCasino. I felt that it had a few things that made it stand out (even if it was hardly unique in the world of online bookies), and that its good qualities were very praiseworthy. I liked the curated selection of football matches, as well as the emphasis on European basketball, something that is relatively rare. However, I must also admit that a big reason why I’m pleased with this bookie is due to my subjective taste. If you like esports, or prefer to wager on more niche sports, I’m afraid there just won’t be enough here to hold your attention. This is, after all, an optional part of a casino, and should be treated as such. If you’d like something more, I recommend finding a dedicated bookmaker.
