GGBET Sports Review
GGBET is a huge name in the world of online betting – which makes sense, given that it’s been around since 2016! That’s practically ancient times, so any bookie which has survived for so long is certainly going to start developing a reputation among players! But is that reputation deserved? Well, that’s what we at BettingSites.CC decided to figure out by thoroughly evaluating it, starting with its sportsbook and working our way down from there.
And if there is a way to describe not just GGBET’s sports betting section, but the site as a whole, it’s “chaotic”. The user interface isn’t bad per se, but it’s all over the place, and you can see that in the categories on the sports page. Esports aren’t organized at all, and the various games aren’t ordered in any way that makes sense. It almost looks like they’re in alphabetical order, but many of the sports are in the wrong places – as if they started sorting them alphabetically, but then gave up halfway and decided to start arranging them manually. This lack of organization certainly poses problems, especially considering how many different sports you can wager on here!
Football Betting
Football has always been the single most popular sport when it comes to betting, and the same holds true here at GGBET… even if this site calls it “soccer”, which is a grave offense that we know many of our readers will find unforgivable. Putting that aside, though, you’ll still find hundreds of matches here, especially for (but not limited to) the big championships like UEFA Champions League or Premier League. If a game is being played professionally somewhere, chances are you can bet on it here – but finding it in order to place said bet is another matter entirely.
Depending on your outlook, the football section is either completely disorganized or a little too organized – and either way, it’s not good! You see, when you first open up the football page, you’ll be greeted to the usual list of countries, which makes sense. However, it’s impossible to just view every match being played in, say, Spain – at least, we couldn’t figure out how to do it. Instead, by selecting Spain, a few more submenus will open with individual leagues, and only from there will you be allowed to see an actual list of matches. This means that games become a little harder to find, and worse, you won’t be able to see how many there are for each country, or in total for football. Which, at least for us, made grasping the scale of GGBET a little difficult.
Basketball Betting
Given the fact that GGBET hasn’t made the exact amount of matches it offers for each sport public, we can only speculate as to what the second most popular betting option besides football is. However, basketball is just below it in the menu, and although that’s probably just a sign of the site’s half-alphabetical order, it’s as good of a sport to discuss as any! Especially since GGBET seems to be handling it a lot better than many of its sportsbook contemporaries.
Obviously, the most popular basketball league has always been the NBA, and that hasn’t changed here: every single major match from it will be represented here. But we were quite surprised by the amount of much smaller leagues with a presence at GGBET – the Spanish Liga ACB, the Euroleague championship, and the international Club Friendly games are three of the more popular options you can wager on here. However, the site offers more than a dozen local leagues from all over the world, from Croatia to Uruguay, making it quite the rarity among bookmakers!
Esports Betting
It only takes a cursory glance to figure out just how passionate GGBET’s owners are about esports in particular! You can find all sorts of those right there in the sports section, including some of the most popular titles you can find anywhere (like Dota 2, League of Legends, and Counter-Strike) – if there’s a tournament for those, whether big (like Dota 2’s International) or small (like its qualifiers), chances are pretty high that you can bet on it here.
But what surprised us the most was the inclusion of a number of less popular titles: not just the likes of Valorant and Overwatch, but also Mortal Kombat, PUBG, Halo, Crossfire, even Osu! How many online bookies can you think of that offer wagering on Osu games?! Of course, it’s worth noting that many of those smaller sports won’t have anywhere near as many matches as their “big brother” counterparts. There’s also something to be said about GGBET’s chaotic interface (it would’ve been much better if there was a dedicated esports section with all of these games as subcategories). And yet, despite everything, GGBET’s esports offerings still remain stellar!
Live Betting
Can you imagine being able to place a bet on a match that’s still ongoing? Well, that’s one of the advantages online betting gives you: the ability to wager on live games, complete with ever-shifting odds! In fairness, GGBET handles this aspect pretty well, at least on the technical level: bets are quick and responsive, odds seem reasonable (or at least they did to us), and the site has a few useful features to help you keep track of everything. For example, a play-by-play diagram, as well as live scores straight on the match list!
The issue, as it often is with this site, comes almost entirely from the interface. The live betting page is so barren that you can’t even filter out matches by sport on it! You just get presented with a big list of every live match that you have no way of narrowing down, at least not from the main page (you can still choose live games from the side menu, but that’s a separate thing entirely). And since, for various reasons, most of of the live matches you’ll find here will be on esports, that means if you don’t like betting on Dota 2, you’ll have to scroll down past a number of matches for it to find one for a traditional sport. And that can easily turn someone off of betting on live games entirely.
Frequently Asked Questions
GGBET has several dozen sports within its repertoire, ranging from big ones like basketball and rugby to less popular ones like table tennis and handball.
Yes, you can – but they’re placed in an odd spot, so you’d be excused for not finding them at first! They’re not in the sports betting section at all, and instead can be found among the slots. You’ll see “Virtual Sports” as one of the categories there.
If the match is big enough, you’d be able to find nearly every market that is also available at GGBET’s competitors, such as Asian handicap, totals, or first to score. Matches from smaller leagues will mostly have 1×2 and totals, though.
No, it isn’t. This is one of GGBET’s biggest drawbacks: you won’t be able to deposit using anything other than traditional fiat currencies.
That’s a very complicated question to answer. On one hand, this site has been around for a while, and it has gotten very popular over the years. On the other, it has also developed a terrible reputation, and currently doesn’t seem to have a license.

I’m very split in my impressions of GGBET’s sportsbook. On one hand, its positive qualities are undeniable, and where it shines, it shines brightly! Its esports section was a particular delight to me, featuring so many obscure games that I’ve barely ever seen featured in the online gambling space. Many of its sports will offer at least some leagues which, while not necessarily obscure, are more rarely found – which, in turn, gives you more options when choosing what bets to make! The problem is that, although this content is undeniably of a very high quality, its packaging is less than satisfactory. The user interface is very confusing to navigate and almost seems to work against the player rather than with them. Placing wagers is often a chore, which it absolutely shouldn’t be. If someone told us that GGBET hadn’t been updated since it first launched in GGBET, we’d believe it!
