Betovo Sports Review

Betovo, at a glance, seems completely unremarkable. Its name sounds like the titles of a dozen different online betting platforms, and its interface is one you’ve probably seen a million times by now. Its one distinct feature is perhaps that it operates in a lot of different markets that aren’t quite as well represented by these types of sites as the bigger markets. But even then, we think that a website must do something a little different, have one or two unique features, and Betovo kind of… doesn’t.

You can easily see this in its selection of betting options, which is extremely safe and gives you nothing that you wouldn’t find on a thousand different sites. That’s not to say that it’s terrible or anything, and if this is your first ever sports betting site, you’ll certainly be satisfied with the selection. But that’s why we, as reviewers, are always looking for something a little bit more unique, like special sports or non-sport betting (like on politics and entertainment), and things like that just aren’t available here at Betovo.

Football Betting

If you decided to sign up for any kind of betting site at all, we’re willing to bet (heh) that you did so specifically to wager on football! Granted, it’s possible we’re wrong and you were actually interested in a different sport, but the fact of the matter is that football has always been the single most popular sport for betting, bar none. This is the case at Betovo as well, with the platform offering more than 1,000 different matches for enthusiasts to wager on.

Those games aren’t just from the big leagues like UEFA and Premier, though – quite the opposite, nearly every match from any official tournament around the world is represented. Whether you want to wager on games from Germany or Uzbekistan, chances are Betovo has you covered. This isn’t anything unique to it by any means, as most sports betting sites will give you access to very similar ‘packages’ of available games, but at this point, there isn’t anything above that which Betovo can present its players – so, top marks!

American Football Betting

While every single betting site we’ve ever reviewed has prioritized football as its primary sport, the number two spot tends to vary – sometimes it’s tennis, other times basketball, but we have to say that we’ve never seen a site that prioritizes American football! Well, earlier we made the note that Betovo doesn’t really offer much that’s unique compared to other sites, and while we still stand by that in general, this emphasis on American football is definitely one of the exceptions.

But it’s not enough to simply be unique, not when you’ve got to also be functional! Luckily, this isn’t a concern as Betovo’s American football section offers a wide array of matches from both the US and Canada. The NFL is obviously going to be the big focus here, and those games will be the ones that will offer the greatest diversity of betting markets. However, NCAA and CFL matches are also represented, so you’ll be able to enjoy some relatively non-mainstream games as well if that’s where your fancy strikes!

Esports Betting

No modern sports betting website would be complete without the inclusion of at least a few esports – and luckily, Betovo does okay in that regard as well. You’ll be able to wager on a total of 7 games, including Counter-Strike, Dota, and League of Legends – which are pretty much the biggest ones around. And although ultimately Betovo gives players less games to bet on than many of its competitors, we don’t feel like that’s a huge deal because most gamblers would just want to bet on those three anyway.

What IS a big deal, though, is the almost complete lack of interesting betting markets. Counter-Strike has probably the most betting markets per match, and it’s just a handful like 1×2 or correct map score. Dota games have even less than that, and less popular titles, like Overwatch, don’t even have that and just let you place bets on the winner of each game… which is pretty unacceptable. Betting on different things is a fun and exciting way to get more out of a match, and it’s truly disappointing that Betovo doesn’t seem to have realized this for most of its matches.

Live Betting

Last, but certainly not least, let’s focus on live betting – an area of sports betting that’s relatively new, yet has already garnered a huge following from players who wouldn’t even consider betting somewhere where they can’t wager on in-progress games! Luckily for them, Betovo has a pretty cool and intuitive live betting system that lets you easily see which sports (and, narrowing it down, which leagues) currently have in-progress matches. Alternatively, if you just wish to focus on that, there’s a Live button in the top right corner you can toggle on to filter out non-live games automatically.

Overall, the system works quite well. Although live streaming isn’t available (not even for e-sports which are already streamed on Twitch), you can still view in-progress plays in the form of a live statistics display, which works okay if you don’t have access to the real thing (even if it’s nowhere near as exciting). The live betting markets don’t seem to change that much compared to their fixed counterparts, so generally you can get a good idea of what you’ll be able to wager on well before the match has started.
