Do you know how you never really notice just how useful your fingers are until you get a paper cut (or even worse, a broken finger)? It’s the same thing with customer support – you never quite notice how much it does for you at most online bookmakers until you find one that lacks it. Officially, BetFree isn’t like that – you can contact support via e-mail or live chat directly through the site, which is very standard for modern betting sites (phone support is usually not something that’s offered). Unfortunately, both of these methods have very tangible problems that may sour your betting experience in a rather unfortunate way. Ultimately, it wouldn’t be unfair to say that BetFree doesn’t actually have any customer support features at all.

My intentions when reaching out to BetFree for the first time were very pure – I didn’t mean to “test” them or do anything that an average player wouldn’t do. All I needed was some clarification on the site’s terms of service and bonus conditions, which I’ve already spoken about earlier in this review. Unfortunately, every time I tried to reach out to BetFree, I was met with a connection error. I wasn’t using a VPN, so I figured that maybe it’s an issue with the browser or a temporary outage, but no matter what I tried I could never connect. Disheartened, but undeterred, I next sent them an e-mail, which has yet to be replied to days later. Obviously, this is completely unacceptable, and I find it very hard to believe that a site which already raised several red flags about its legitimacy just so happened to also have a support team that wasn’t replying to any messages.
