And even though Winnita doesn’t seem like the most popular bookmaker out there (we weren’t able to find a lot of user reviews for it), when we came upon it, we still knew we had to make a review and let people know what our impressions are! After all, any site that isn’t popular today might be the next big thing tomorrow… right?
So, without further ado, let’s dive into its most popular betting options and see if there’s anything here that can make Winnita stand out among its peers!
Football Betting
Let’s be real for a second – most people who go to a bookmaker do so to primarily (or only) wager on football. It’s arguably the most popular sport in the world, and its gambling industry is worth billions… though you probably won’t suspect that, judging by Winnita. Its football section is really small, with only a few hundred matches available – all of which from big, international leagues like UEFA Champion’s League.
This might sound really big and impressive, and on some level, it is. However, most betting sites will give you well over a thousand different matches to wager on at any given point: not just the really big ones, but also from much smaller leagues in various countries around the world. The amount of betting markets (different aspects of the match you can wager on, like who would win, what the score would be, who’d score the winning goal, etc) is also rather unsatisfactory compared to what you’d find on other sites.
Basketball Betting
While football is always the most popular sport at any betting site, guessing the number 2 spot was a little bit difficult at Winnita, as it hasn’t stated that information clearly anywhere. After a little bit of research, we determined that to be basketball, which is a safe choice. At most other bookies, you’ll find either basketball or table tennis as the #2, so this didn’t come as much of a surprise to us.
What did surprise us, however, was the very low amount of matches: just about 200. Once again, that’s half of what you’d find at most betting sites, which can certainly turn off most hardcore gamblers. With basketball there’s the caveat that most players are only interested in NBA matches, which likely could explain why this is a major focus for Winnita. However, the NBA doesn’t play all year, which is why so many bookies also offer alternative leagues – which isn’t very common here at Winnita.
Esports Betting
Esports may have been regarded as “not real sports” once, but trust us, this very quickly changed when bookmakers realized just how much money there is in betting on them! Nowadays, the big tournaments like The International gather millions of viewers around the globe who cheer on their favorite teams as they face off in big, extravagant halls! Most bookmakers have entire sections dedicated to esports alone… And yet, Winnita doesn’t treat them with the respect they deserve.
Don’t get us wrong: the site does offer sports betting wagers, more specifically on Call of Duty, Crossfire, Fortnite, King of Glory, StarCraft 2, and a bunch of sports-themed games (like Fifa). What you may have noticed is that this selection doesn’t include the most popular games on the market, like Dota 2, Overwatch, or Counter-Strike – the big juggernauts of esports gambling. How come? Who came up with the idea of taking bets on Fortnite, but not on Dota, arguably the single most important esport? It’s truly perplexing!
Live Betting
Being able to place bets on live games is one of the most interesting and exciting things you can do at an online bookmaker – especially in comparison to traditional land-based ones! Who among us hasn’t watched a game, made a prediction on the fly, and thought “Man, I’d be so rich if I could put a bet right here and now!” With live betting (also known as in-progress or in-play betting), you can do just that!
Alas, Winnita doesn’t really give us the best version of that otherwise fantastic feature. For starters, there isn’t a dedicated “Live” category where you can see all the matches that are currently in progress. Instead, you’ll have to go sport by sport and select them from there, with a little “live” icon indicating whether a particular sport has any live options at the moment. Furthermore, the betting markets for in-progress games just aren’t particularly enticing, and although this is purely subjective, the odds didn’t seem particularly enticing to us.

Unfortunately, Winnita’s sports betting section is simply lacking in every respect: not enough sports, not enough matches, not enough betting markets. It’s very clear to me that the site just hasn’t placed as much of a priority on sports betting as it has on its other aspects, like casino gaming or loot boxes (which are also present here). And on one hand, it’s totally fine for the betting part to be just something small on the site for other types of players to enjoy from time to time. But on the other, it doesn’t give us punters much incentive to join.
