Twin Sports Review
Twin is a popular online bookmaker/casino hybrid operated as the sole project of Moonlite N.V. It’s arguably one of the bigger names in the sports betting industry, with hundreds of thousands of players and annual profits estimated to exceed €1m. With a reputation like that, if you’re reading this chances are you’ve already heard of this site from other channels and are now curious to see if it’s worth placing a few wagers on.
To find out, we thoroughly investigated Twin’s sports betting section, examining not only its betting options, but also other elements such as its payment methods, bonuses, and safety regulations. This makes our review one of the most comprehensive ones available, with enough information to help you make an informed decision regardless of whether you’re solely interested in the sports section or are also planning to participate in the casino.
Football Betting
As is the case with most online betting sites, Twin prioritizes football betting over anything else… but, in our opinion, doesn’t do quite as much with it as its competitors. This can be seen plainly in the number of matches available for wagers – where other sites will have anywhere between 900 and 1,500 football matches to bet on, Twin will offer between 400 and 600 at any given point. A fraction of what you might find elsewhere.
Of course, this isn’t inherently a problem in and of itself, especially if you’re someone who primarily plans to participate in the bigger leagues, like UEFA or Premier. These are very much present, but even then, the diversity of betting markets is rather limited. Even the biggest matches will only let you place wagers on a handful of markets, like 1×2 or stats, with smaller categories (like the ability to wager on individual players) completely absent. While none of this is terrible, we can’t really rank it above “serviceable”, especially if this isn’t your first betting site.
Ice Hockey Betting
While every online betting site will prioritize football betting, the #2 spot tends to vary across them. Sometimes it’s basketball, other times tennis, but we must say, Twin is the first site that proudly boasts ice hockey as its silver medalist! It’s clear from the get-go that the people behind Twin are avid ice hockey fans, given just how many matches and leagues you can wager on should you also enjoy the mesmerizing sight of a puck sliding across the ice.
Whether you’re interested in the big games, like the NHL and the AHL, or in much smaller, local leagues like from Kazakhstan or Slovakia, well, for whatever reason Twin has you covered. Unfortunately, the same problem we encountered with football betting rears its ugly head here too: there simply aren’t enough betting markets available for many of the matches to make betting on them particularly interesting. True, the biggest ones will have about half a dozen markets, which is fine, but anything besides that will be limited to just 1×2. Which isn’t enough considering the immense focus Twin has placed on this sport.
Esports Betting
Regardless of whether you consider esports to be “real” sports or not, there’s no denying that they can be incredibly fun to wager on! Twin, naturally, has gotten in on that action, and have done it so well that it has genuinely become one of our favorite parts of the entire experience! As soon as you access the eSports page, you’ll see a neat, tidy list of a dozen different games ranging from the super big ones (like Counter-Strike and Dota 2) to much smaller releases that still offer a competitive scene (like Crossfire and King of Glory).
While a few games were missing from the selection that we would have liked to see, such as Street Fighter, Twin still offers a spectacular choice. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about the betting markets, with pretty much all of the matches we checked exclusively offering 1×2 betting. In Twin’s defense, this is hardly uncommon when it comes to esports betting, but we were hoping for this site in particular to do something a little special, given its wide and varied selection of available esports matches.
Live Betting
Twin’s live betting is, for better or worse, just as mediocre as the rest of its sports betting section. Granted, we can’t judge it too harshly, given that it does exactly what it says on the tin (letting you place bets on in-progress games), and it does that part well. The problem only becomes apparent when you expand the scope and look a bit outside the box.
For starters, the number of matches you can wager on live is extremely small – we went and counted the available ones while we were writing this paragraph, and it was only about 50, with the overwhelming majority being split between football and, for whatever reason, baseball. Ice hockey had a mere two matches in progress, despite being the second most represented sport at Twin! Even besides that, a lot of features available at other bookies (like live streaming) are entirely absent here, leading to a comparatively worse experience.

Twin isn’t a terrible online bookmaker… but it’s nothing to write home about, either. Ultimately, whether you enjoy it or not will, I think, largely depend on your expectations. Are you a casual player who has never participated in a betting site before and just wants to guess who will win the latest big football game? Sure, you might have a good time here. But if you’re reading this, then we assume you’re already familiar with the world of sports betting in general. And in that case, we simply don’t see much that would hold your attention here. Not when there are plenty of bookies that will have more sports, more leagues, more matches, and more markets.
