Starzino Sports Review

Shoot for the moon – even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars! That old quote feels like it was tailor-made for Starzino. This sports betting site feels like it’s genuinely trying to be something huge and groundbreaking, and unfortunately never really manages to reach those heights. However, it’s still an excellent bookie, and one that is worth considering if what it does manage to achieve sounds like fun to you.

For starters, the obvious negative is that it doesn’t seem to have a very good diversity of individual matches. We’ll touch upon this a bit more once we talk about football in a second, but Starzino seems to mostly focus on the bigger leagues, aiming for quality over quantity. On the other hand, the individual sports that you can wager on are incredibly numerous, and encompass pretty much anything you can think of, and then some. As such, whether Starzino will be your thing depends entirely on whether you prefer to focus on a bunch of sports or on a lot of games within the same one.

Football Betting

As we just discussed, Starzino’s football options can be a little bit limited when compared to those offered by its direct competitors! You can find only about 500 or so different matches to bet on, depending on when you check – which is less than half of what nearly any other site offers. Of course, if you primarily wish to bet on the big games, like UEFA, Premier League, or Bundesliga you won’t even notice the difference, but where Starzino suffers is in its smaller, less prominent leagues.

The offset here is that, since the remaining matches are typically more prominent ones, nearly all of them have some pretty decent betting markets you can wager on. Whether it’s Asian handicap, halftime/fulltime, correct score, or even player stats, there are more than enough things to place a bet on, to the point where you could probably build a decently-sized acca just from a single match. Which we’re certain appeals to a lot of people!

Tennis Betting

Football is always the biggest and most popular sport in any betting site, but second place can vary – although in our experience, it’s often tennis that takes the spot! The world of professional tennis already mostly revolves around the big leagues, like WTA or ATP, so it’s very easy for gambling sites like Starzino to offer their players a very comprehensive betting experience when it comes to this particular sport. Perhaps that’s why it’s so common for them to offer hundreds of matches!

Regardless, even thousands of matches would be boring if you could only bet on the winner, right? Well, unfortunately, that’s a big problem here at Starzino – obviously the biggest games will all offer plenty of markets, but when we dug a little bit deeper than that and started clicking on random games, we found only a handful of betting markets for the vast majority of matches. For nearly all of the ones we checked – including both upcoming and in progress games – you could only wager on 1×2 and correct score per set. And that’s not nearly enough!

Esports Betting

While the tennis section was, admittedly, a bit disappointing, the same can’t be said about the esports one, which is significantly better than most of the ones we’ve seen across various online gambling sites! For starters, it supports a whole lot of games, including not only the really big ones (like Counter-Strike or Dota), but also FIFA, NBA2K, Rocket League, even Injustice 2 (though that one’s only AI battles between bots).

Not only that, but you can also stream nearly al of the competitive games available here, as Starzino has fully integrated Twitch into its platform – which is such a simple addition that not nearly enough betting sites take advantage of! But what about betting markets? Don’t worry, they’re also quite satisfactory, as you can wager on quite a lot of things depending on the game – round winner, exact score, which player will score the most kills, who will lose their healthbar first, and so on. It’s a fantastic addition, especially given the fact that most sites only let you bet on 1×2!

Live Betting

And here comes one of the defining traits of not only Starzino, but of any other online betting site – in-play wagers! Indeed, being able to bet on live games is one of the huge advantages that online betting sites offer over their land-based counterparts, and Starzino in particular handles that aspect pretty well, all things considered! For starters, to go into the Live section, you’ll need to click or tap on the small Live button in the top-left corner, which will automatically filter out any non-live games.

This, in turn, will let you easily browse the list of matches that are currently in progress, as well as further narrow it down based on individual sports. The betting markets you’ll encounter are fairly similar to what you’d find normally, so if a particular match doesn’t really have a lot of options in terms of markets, don’t expect it to magically offer them once it begins. However, this is the case for nearly every online bookie, so it’s hard to blame Starzino for something that’s fairly universal across various sites.
