Football Betting

Football continues to be the single most popular sport to place wagers on, so it’s imperative for Powbet to deliver a great experience for its fans… And, luckily, it delivers! It features one of the most diverse range of leagues we’ve seen, including both the major ones (like Champion’s League and Bundesliga) and more minor ones (like the GT Nations League or the eAdriatic League). Admittedly, its focus seems to be on professional football, excluding amateur and college leagues, but that’s hardly something most people would be disappointed by.

When it comes to betting markets, the matches from smaller leagues will usually just be limited to 1×2 and Total, but move over to the big games (like Premier League) and you’ll find yourself with nearly 30 different markets to wager on! You can even build an acca with different markets for the same match (instead of different matches), which is a very cool and underrated feature!

Basketball Betting

Admittedly, basketball isn’t quite as much of a focus to Powbet as football is. While you can wager on anywhere between 800 and 1,000 football games at any given point, basketball sports a mere fraction of that, at around 100-200 games. This can definitely disappoint players who were specifically looking to place bets on matches from smaller basketball associations.

As you can imagine, the primary focus here (as on any other betting site) falls on the NBA. That’s where you’ll find the best odds and the biggest number of betting markets. With that said, leagues like Basketball Champions’ League, the NBL, and the BBL are all represented here. You can even find live betting for a lot of these smaller matches, which was a pleasant surprise!

Esports Betting

Of course, betting on traditional sports isn’t the only activity available here in Powbet! Esports have become an incredibly important part of not just the gaming scene, but the gambling one as well. As such, it’s only natural that Powbet would dedicate a considerable amount of time and resources into filling its virtual halls with as many esports matches as possible.

For starters, you’ve got all of the biggest games: Dota 2, Counter-Strike, and League of Legends, alongside every major and minor tournament associated with them. But what pleasantly surprised us is that you’ll also be able to wager on (comparatively) smaller titles, like Rainbow Six Siege and Valorant. The less pleasant surprise is that Powbet’s interface didn’t allow us to filter out the matches by game, and instead all of them were dumped with no rhyme or reason in the “E-sports” category, which was a little confusing.

Live Betting

Being able to wager on games while they’re still ongoing is a relatively new aspect of online gambling, and yet one that has become an essential part of the experience. Powbet, similarly, offers players the chance to place live bets on nearly any match it has while it’s still playing, but unfortunately, it has made quite a few missteps along the way.

For starters, it takes a bit of time for the system to register any bet you made, which obviously isn’t a problem when placing traditional wagers on games that have yet to start. However, during live betting (when the odds can shift drastically within only a few seconds), that delay can rob you of what would have been otherwise very preferential odds. Furthermore, the site doesn’t offer live streaming, so even if you didn’t mind that delay, you’d need to already be watching the games through a different website (or on TV) before you can bet.
