Memo Casino Sports Review

You might not have a memo about Memo Casino (see what we did there), but that’s because it’s a brand new gambling site that just opened its doors in 2024! Don’t let its name fool you, though – on top of being a casino site, Memo also offers a very thorough and expansive sports betting section with dozens upon dozens of different betting activities. Although the site as a whole definitely has some issues (which we’ll get into later on in our review), in terms of its sportsbook, it’s practically spotless.

To be more specific, you can gamble on nearly 50 different sports and activities, including on “Specials” – for example, you can bet on the winner of the Presidential election in each state, as well as on the winner of popular TV programs like “Strictly Come Dancing”. But let’s face it, if you’re reading this now, you probably don’t care too much about that – instead, you’re likely far more interested in crafting sports accas! So, without further ado, let’s dive into a few of the more popular sports betting options you can enjoy here at Memo!

Football Betting

When people talk about sports betting, chances are they’re actually referring to football betting! Indeed, even so many decades after the first bet on football was placed, this continues to be by far the most common and popular gambling activity (arguably second only to slots, but many would say it beats them). As such, you can imagine just how important it is for Memo Casino to absolutely nail this particular aspect – and, to its credit, it does.

When you sign up at Memo, you’ll gain access to more than 1,100 different football matches – plus-minus a few, depending on season. Practically any major football league from any country around the world that has one is available here, with the most popular leagues all outlined in a useful menu near the top of the page. If you’re looking for something a little more niche, though, you can always browse the games by country, or simply by odds. There’s no shortage of options, depending on how you want to bet!

Tennis Betting

Make no mistake – at Memo Casino, football is king, and all other sports are mere peasants. If you’re looking to wager on anything except football, then you might as well do it at another casino because most sports will have less than 200 matches at any given time. In fact, the vast majority of them will have way less than that – there’s only a handful that even approach the 200 figure. Tennis is one of them, it has the second highest number of games behind football and it’s barely into the triple digits.

The sliver lining here is that at least the games that are available mostly stem from the really big competitions, primarily ATP Challengers. On the flipside, though, smaller (especially local, non-international) championships are either absent or severely underrepresented, which we’re sure would bum out many tennis fans. In terms of betting markets, those really big matches from international championships will see a lot of care put into them, unlike the ones from smaller leagues. Overall, a disappointing display for one of the biggest sports in betting.

Esports Betting

Beyond football, it wouldn’t be unfair to say that esports are the REAL second-most-popular sport at Memo Casino – as long as we’re counting them all as one sport rather than multiple different ones, that is. Memo itself sure doesn’t, as it doesn’t have an esports category, instead segregating its available games and treating each one as if it’s a distinct sport.

This makes it very plain to see which games are the most popular here: FIFA and Counter-Strike. Again, these choices are very unusual, as at most online betting sites, it’s Dota 2 and League of Legends which accommodate the most amount of matches. FIFA especially doesn’t see much of a presence most of the time, so that at least gives Memo Casino a unique selling point. As for the other games (Valorant, StarCraft 2, Call of Duty, etc), most of them only have a dozen or so matches each (and less when there aren’t decently sized competitions for them), so suffice to say, they aren’t a focal point.

Live Betting

Depending on who you ask, the ability to place bets on sports games while they’re still happening is by far the biggest advantage of sports betting! Well, personally we think it’s the ability to wager on games from your phone while you’re eating chips on the couch, but those things are subjective. If you belong to the first group, though, you’ll be pretty happy to learn that Memo Casino boasts a pretty decently sized live betting section.

To access it, you’ll need to go to the main sportsbook and then click (or tap) on the “Live” button in the top-left corner. That will instantly narrow the matches to only those that are currently in progress, allowing you to place in-progress wagers on anything you see. You can further narrow them down by sport, which is very convenient – and once you’ve found a match you like, some of them (especially for football) will let you watch the in-play data on a diagram, which is pretty useful when checking in on the progress of the game!
