JoeBit: Is it legit?

JoeBit is it legitIf you’ve been reading our review right up until this point, then you probably have a really good idea of whether JoeBit is a legit site or not. But some of you might have skipped right to this section (and if that’s you, good for you – you value safety above all else!) Others might be a bit confused about why we’ve been so harsh on it. Well, sit back and let us explain our reasoning behind our rather negative conclusions! If you hold a different opinion from us, that’s great! Remember to always do your own research and reach your own conclusions instead of letting someone else tell you how to feel, even if that someone is a reviewer like ourselves.

The Short Answer: Is JoeBit Legit?

No, JoeBit is not a legitimate betting site. We do not advise players to engage with it.

Why Do We Think That?

  • Unlicensed – The situation with JoeBit’s license is a little interesting. Gaming Curacao, one of the largest casino regulators in the world, ceased operations in August of 2024, and any site licensed by them (including JoeBit) would be left without a license, which in turn means they have no oversight. Ordinarily, this would be completely out of the casinos’ hands – but the fact of the matter is that all of these sites were given ample warning and opportunity to switch to a different regulator (like Antillephone or MGA). The fact that JoeBit not only hasn’t done this, but still displays the Curacao license in the footer even though it’s not valid anymore, means that they don’t care about being regulated at all, and at worst are actively trying to deceive players into thinking they’re licensed.
  • Poor Reputation – Over the course of our research, we investigated many user reports from players who played at JoeBit or other sites hosted by parent company Luckywayz (a surprisingly prolific betting company). Although opinions on Luckywayz were mixed, most players had an overwhelmingly negative experience at JoeBit, citing unpaid winnings, accounts closed without warning, and unexpected fees that resulted in less money being added to accounts after a successful deposit.
  • Crypto Only – Ordinarily, a “crypto casino” which solely deals with alternative currencies is completely fine. Many players have a preference for Bitcoin over credit cards, and it has some tangible advantages. However, all crypto transactions are anonymous and final – meaning you get no refunds, nor any way to get back your money if you end up getting scammed. This, combined with the aforementioned two points paining JoeBit as a very untrustworthy site, is pretty much a recipe for disaster. At least some banks and e-wallets will let you chargeback if you were scammed, but alas, no such luck with crypto.
