JoeBit Sports Review
What makes for a good sports betting site, in your opinion? Some would state that, obviously, it’s one that has the most sports betting options – the most sports, the most matches, the most betting markets, and so on. Just a lot of stuff to do in terms of how you place your bets! Others would say that the most important things are the bonuses – even if all you can bet on are the really big matches, it’s worth it as long as you can do so on the site’s dime! Others still would say that neither of those things are important, and the true deciding factor is how safe the site is.
Well, it’s a rare occurrence to stumble upon a bookmaker that won’t satisfy absolutely anyone! Yep, JoeBit is incredibly unsafe (something that, believe us, we’ll get into very soon), it doesn’t have any bonuses for sports betting whatsoever, oh, and also, it barely has any sports to wager on! Does it do anything right at all? Well, let’s take a closer look at JoeBit’s sports section and find out!
Football Betting
On paper, JoeBit features about 900 upcoming matches or so – which is, of course, perfectly reasonable. Most online bookies feature around 1,000 different matches (more or less, depending on season), so if you didn’t take a closer look, you might just assume that JoeBit is like any other site. But upon closer inspection, you’ll quickly discover that a huge portion of the matches available here are listed as AI. That’s right: JoeBit, for whatever odd reason, has mixed up virtual football and real football instead of keeping them separate like any other bookie would.
Putting virtual matches aside, it’s practically impossible to figure out how many of those 900 are real ones. We’d wager not too many, though, as the site mostly focuses on the big leagues. If you’re interested in betting on Premier League, UEFA Champions League, as well as the larger competitions in bigger football countries like Brazil and Italy, then sure, you can find all those here. But you can find them at any other betting site too, right alongside a bunch of amateur leagues or professionals from smaller countries. So the question remains: if you don’t care about virtuals, why would you sign up for JoeBit instead of basically any other bookmaker on the market?
Tennis Betting
Besdes football, most sports available here at JoeBit (however few of them there are) don’t offer a whole lot of matches. Nearly every sport we checked had less than 100 different games, even the really big ones like basketball, baseball, or ice hocket. The one big exception (besides esports, which are segregated into different “sports” anyway) is tennis, with over 300 matches as of the time of writing. Unfortunately, that doesn’t translate into anything unique that you haven’t already seen at most other sites.
Don’t get us wrong, you’ll still be able to place wagers on the really big tennis leagues – specifically, anything from WTA, ATP, and ITF (US Open, ITF Hong Kong, etc). If you examine this in a vacuum, there’s no problem here at all – in fact, it’s a stark improvement from the football section which was stuffed full of AI nonsense. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a vacuum, and as such JoeBit has to compete against every other bookmaker that offers tennis betting – many of which will offer either the exact same matches, or even more. What is JoeBit’s unique selling point here? Because from where we’re standing, its best sport manages to mostly impress because it’s on par with what everyone else is offering instead of below.
Esports Betting
When we opened the main betting page of JoeBit for the purposes of research, we were immediately greeted by several huge banners promoting esports – specifically, the International tournament for Dota 2 and the IEM Cologne for Counter-Strike. Granted, part of that is purely due to timing – if we had written our review during any other time, we might have been greeted by different banners. And yet, to us, it showed that the creators of JoeBit seem to care about esports and have prioritized them over many other forms of gambling. So, how are they actually represented?
Admittedly, not bad at all. If you were to count Esports as one sport (JoeBit themselves don’t seem to do that, given that they’ve placed each game into a separate sport/category), then this would likely be the most interesting offering in JoeBit’s repertoire. They’ve got all the big games you’ll expect, like the aforementioned CS and Dota, but also FIFA, Rainbow Six Siege, King of Glory, Apex Legends… But we were most surprised by the inclusion of certified classics like StarCraft 1 and osu!, which we’d never seen present before. If only the rest of the site had been created with this much care!
Live Betting
When you first open JoeBit’s sports page, you’ll instantly be greeted not by the upcoming games, but by the live ones. Indeed, you need to actively switch away from the Live tab (by clicking or tapping on the “Scheduled” button) to see games which are yet to happen – the opposite of how it works at most sites. Well, if they’re THAT confident in their live game repertoire, surely they must have so many matches to share with us, right?
Sadly, that’s not the case. On the site’s most important sports page, all you’ll find is less than a dozen different matches, mostly for esports. At first glance, we thought that maybe that’s everything available here at JoeBit, which is certainly not the impression you want to impart upon your new players! It would be one thing if live gambling was some huge fixture of the site – it would make sense, especially with the focus on esports betting. But since it isn’t, what’s the point of giving such an underwhelming first impression?
Frequently Asked Questions
Counting esports as just one sport (instead of separate ones like JoeBit does it), you’ll be able to wager on less than a dozen sports. For comparison, most bookmakers offer 50-70 sports.
Yes, the football category has a number of different matches labeled as “AI”. These are virtuals, even if they’re mixed in with the real matches and aren’t given their own category.
JoeBit doesn’t have a lot of betting markets for most matches. You’ll primarily be able to bet on winner and score, but some esports will have unique markets such as map winner.
Yes – in fact, JoeBit is a crypto site, meaning you can only deposit there with crypto. It doesn’t accept fiat currencies.
No, all things considered, we wouldn’t say that JoeBit is a safe site. It has an expired license and overall very poor reputation with players. The chance that you’ll get scammed is very high, especially since the site only accepts crypto deposits which are non-refundible.

Overall, JoeBit’s sports section was a colossal disappointment for me. Granted, it does have one or two good sides, such as its great esports section – nobody is denying that. But in today’s climate, where a new betting site seems to spring up every minute and only the best of the best survive, “one or two good sides” just isn’t enough. All of its sides need to be good, and unfortunately, JoeBit can’t manage that at all. Most of its sports barely have any matches at all, and its arguably biggest draw, football, is stuffed full of virtuals that will really turn off more traditional gamblers.
