Don’t be fooled by its casino-sounding name – Goldspin is a proper bookmaker! Granted, it keeps that side of itself a little hidden, since you’ll need to “switch” over from the default section (the casino) by using the toggle in the menu, but once you’re there, you’ll find dozens upon dozens of different sports waiting for you. Similarly, in the Promotions page, you’ll find over a dozen different bonuses specifically aimed at sports fans. We’ve seen sports-only sites (as opposed to a hybrid like Goldspin) with less features than this!

However, having a lot of stuff present doesn’t necessarily mean that any of it is good, right? So let’s take a closer look at Goldspin’s most popular sports, the ones that most punters will undoubtedly gravitate towards. Granted, Goldspin does offer a lot of very obscure sports (such as Gaelic hurling or padel), but as far as we can tell, these only have a handful of matches. We’re glad that they’re there, and it’s a boon for Goldspin, but realistically, they won’t be what attracts you to the site.
Football Betting
It should come as a surprise to absolutely nobody that Goldspin (much like any other bookmaker ever) has focused primarily on football. As you access the sports page, the first thing you’ll see on the left is a list of major football leagues, such as UEFA Nations League, UEFA Champions League, and Premier League. That list is placed above any other sport, to the point where your average player might wonder for a moment whether Goldspin offers anything besides football!

To be fair, though, Goldspin can absolutely put its money where its mouth is when it comes to football – you can wager on well over 1,000 different matches at any given time, both from the big championships (like the ones mentioned above) and from much smaller ones. Have you wanted to, say, place a few live bets on football matches from Chile’s Primera Division, or America’s USL? Maybe not, but even so, these options are fully available to you, and the importance of that can’t be understated.

American Football Betting

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that football received so much attention here at Goldspin – but the #2 spot certainly surprised us! At most casino sites, it usually goes to tennis, basketball, or esports – but here, second place goes to American football (with well over 600 matches as of the time of writing), and third place, to ice hockey (500 matches). This is pretty different from how Goldspin’s competition does things, so if you’re someone who prefers to wager on these types of games as opposed to more conventionally popular sports, this might be the site for you.

As you can imagine, the vast majority of Goldspin’s American football matches are for the American NFL, but that isn’t all you’ll find here. There are also a fair few games for the NCAA (basically, college football), which almost feels like an entirely different sport compared to the NFL in terms of teams and championships. Outside of the US, there’s also the CFL, which is also available at Goldspin with a fair few matches.

Esports Betting

Esports have become one of the big stables of betting, to the point where we’ve covered entire sites solely dedicated to them! Although games like Dota 2 and Counter-Strike haven’t quite reached football in terms of popularity (and probably never will), they’ve formed quite the following in just a few years. Goldspin has made a solid attempt at getting in on that trend, but – for better or worse – that attempt is only passable. It gets the job done without standing out.

Once you open the Goldspin esports tab, you’ll find a bunch of popular games – not just the two mentioned, but also titles like Kings of Glory, Rainbow Six, and Rocket League. Some of them will be a bit more obscure (like Starcraft 1), but overall, you won’t find anything crazy. It’s alright for those who wish to place the occasional esports bet, but won’t be sufficient for people with a more active interest.

Finally, we reach the big one, the unique selling point of online bookies compared to their land-based counterparts! Being able to place wagers on matches that are still being played, with odds that change moment-to-moment based on what’s happening in the field, is an experience that doesn’t sound great until you’ve tried it. If you’re something of a non-believer, fear not, Goldspin’s live betting section should convert you pretty quickly, as it’s genuinely fantastic!
