Cashed: Is it legit?
We at BettingSites.CC occasionally take glances at rival bookmaker review sites, just to see what they have to say – and honestly, we’re disappointed to find out just how many of them pretend that every online bookmaker is completely legitimate, and attempt to gaslight readers who have genuine concerns about them. While most betting sites are perfectly legitimate, there are more than enough who are just out to scam players, and anyone who pretends that there aren’t is simply being disingenuous and trying to get easy money on the backs of scammed players.
That is not and has never been us. We’ve always advised our players to be extra cautious of any betting site that may seem suspicious, and have investigated any bookie we’ve reviewed to make sure that it’s legitimate. That, of course, includes Cashed – so, what did our thorough investigation uncover? Is Cashed a decent and reputable online bookmaker, or is it yet another scam that other reviewers have not spotted?
The Short Answer: Is Cashed Legit?
No, after an investigation we can’t confirm that Cashed is a safe and legitimate online bookmaker.
Why Do We Think That?
Most bookies we review and give an “unsafe” verdict to end up receiving it due to a variety of factors – hidden ‘traps’ in the terms and conditions, very poor reputation with users, and so on. But Cashed has an entirely different problem: we simply couldn’t confirm with certainty who owns it, and whether that company is licensed. Which is a huge red flag because A) there is no reason for any legitimate gambling site owner to hide its identity; and B) a license is needed to allow the bookmaker to operate legally in most countries.
Cashed doesn’t have its owner listed anywhere on the site – not in the footer, About Us, or terms of service. Any information about a license is also absent. However, judging by the nature of the bonuses and the overall site interface, a reasonable assumption can be made that Cashed is owned by Adonio N.V. – a company that has ties to Rabidi N.V., a very prominent online casino operator with dozens of projects under its belt. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to determine what that connection is, and whether Adonio purchased Rabidi, whether they took control over their sites and branding, or, worst case scenario, whether they are Rabidi with a new name following the suspension of Rabidi’s Curacao license. We also can’t confirm with absolute certainty whether Adonio is actually the owner of Cashed, that much is purely speculation on our part – substantiated speculation, but speculation nonetheless.
This puts Cashed in a sort of legal limbo, where it’s very hard to determine whether the site is legitimate or not – but probably isn’t. As such, it simply isn’t worth the risk. Especially when most online bookmakers are very legitimate and have made both their license and the identity of their parent company very plainly visible.
