Betsixty: Is it legit?
Everyone with experience in online gambling (not just with betting sites, but in general) knows that there’s no shortage of sites that would be delighted to steal your money and run. Don’t get us wrong – most bookies are completely legit, because ultimately they’ll be making a lot of money out of this business even without a single scam. But not everyone follows that philosophy, which in turn means it’s up to you, the players, to watch out and avoid the fraudulent sites. Lucky for you, we at BettingSites.CC are professionals and can help you out in that endeavor – even if we encourage you to do your own research and reach your own conclusions instead of blindly believing ours, or anyone else’s!
The Short Answer: Is Betsixty Legit?
No, after careful examination we have determined that Betsixty is not a legitimate bookmaker. It’s advisable that you stay away from it and find another site to paly at.
Why Do We Think That?
- Unknown owner – Betsixty’s parent company is completely unknown, and not listed anywhere on the site. Over the course of our research, we found a lot of speculation about who might be behind it, with some suggestions being more realistic than others… but ultimately, it doesn’t really matter who’s behind it. The fact that the company doesn’t want to tie its brand to the site is already a huge red flag which implies that either the company has a poor reputation and its involvement will scare people away, or that they don’t want whatever happens on Betsixty to ruin their reputation. Either way, not a good look at all.
- Unlicensed – Every bookmaker needs to have a license from a regulator in order to operate legally in the Netherlands – not to mention the fact that said regulator can monitor it closely and pull that license if it receives complains from players. At first glance, it seems like there’s no problem at Betsixty, since if you scroll down to the bottom you’ll see a dropdown menu that lists license information – how convenient! But when you open it, the only information it offers is, and we quote, “Betsixty is owned and operated by the company”. Seriously?! Not only is that not a license in any way, shape, or form, but you guys couldn’t even state the name of the company?
- Very high minimum withdrawal – You can invest as little as €2 into Betsixty to start your journey, which means that a lot of people are going to invest relatively small amounts (less than €20) to get started here. Unfortunately, the minimum withdrawal is a whopping €50, which feels like a very intentionally chosen number. If you deposited a much smaller amount, say, €10, you need to increase your winnings fivefold to withdraw, and most players will either lose everything to do that or just give up (which will cause their money to be confiscated by Betsixty eventually anyway). Very scummy behavior!
