Betsixty Sports Review

Betsixty is a new betting site that seems to be targeting primarily players from the Netherlands, which is, at least on paper, a good thing! Although we’d generally prefer a more open platform that can be joined by punters from around the world, we can definitely see the appeal in a platform that specifically caters to Dutch players – especially if it’s of high quality! But does Betsixty manage to deliver in this endeavor?

Well… it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Betsixty definitely has a few things that greatly concern us, but it would also be fraudulent to deny the fact that it has many great sides as well. Its selection of sports absolutely belongs in the latter category, as it’s genuinely fantastic! Betsixty offers dozens upon dozens of betting options, not only the big and popular ones (like football and basketball), but also some far more obscure offerings like chess and Kabaddi. You can even place “special” bets, such as on politics or TV shows!

Football Betting

If you’re surprised by the fact that football is Betsixty’s main sport, then welcome to your first online bookie! In all seriousness, football has always remained the top dog at any online bookmaker, which isn’t surprising given its absolutely massive popularity around the globe. At Betsixty alone, you can place wagers on more than a thousand different matches from practically every country. If there’s an official league match being played somewhere, chances are you can wager on it here!

Of course, the bulk of the focus went towards the “big” games, such as the matches from UEFA Champion’s League. This is where you’ll see the bulk of Betsixty’s features, such as its numerous betting markets (including goals, totals, whether specific players will score, goal ranges, and so on) and its great odds. The rest of the available matches are more for flavor, and to keep you with something to do in between big games. Which we don’t mind at all, as it’s certainly better than the alternative of no matches besides the big ones!

MMA Betting

In terms of of the number of matches available for wagering at Betsixty, both tennis and American football beat MMA by a pretty decent margin (besides football, but that one should go without saying). However, we were very pleasantly surprised by the fact that MMA had such a presence here anyway, even if it ranked fourth overall. After all, most online casinos won’t even feature it at all, so the fact that Betsixty offers dozens of mixed martial arts matches is well worth discussing!

And, believe it or not, Betsixty absolutely excels at this endeavor! The matches are very diverse, covering pretty much every major MMA fight you would have heard of (for example, UFC Fight Night, Bellator Champions Series, and Superfights just to name a fiew). You can even engage in live betting for many of the fights, although we’ll talk about that in more detail in a little bit. If there’s one complaint we could voice about this section, it’s that most matches will only support 1×2 as a betting market… but then again, that’s what most players will be betting on, anyway.

Esports Betting

It’s undeniable that Betsixty has placed a huge focus on esports – not only does each game have its own category in the main sportsbook, but they also have their own category, complete with their own hub. Realistically, if you wanted to, you could filter the site in such a way as to never interact with a traditional sport at all! And once you take a peek at the list of games, you’ll quickly understand that the people behind Betsixty truly care about esports like they’re a passion project!

Obviously, you’ll find all of the big games here – Counter-Strike, FIFA, League of Legends, etc. But you’ll also see matches for many smaller titles like Rainbow Six, Arena of Valor, Call of Duty, StarCraft 1, and even Osu! It’s a genuinely fantastic selection that will be especially appreciated by people with a broader taste rather than those who are mostly interested in one game. If there’s something we could criticizie about Betsixty’s esports section, it’s that some games (like Dota 2) don’t have as many matches as they should, given their significance. However, this in no small part depends on the season, and it’s only natural that games without major tournaments for them at a particular time won’t have as many matches to bet on.

Live Betting

Although live betting (as in, placing bets on games that are currently ongoing as opposed to ones that are yet to take place) isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, those who love it are particularly into it! You can easily see that from just how many online bookmakers have made it a focal point of their sites – and that, naturally, includes Betsixty! When you look at the matches for any sport, the first few will always be the live ones, if there are any. You can further narrow them down by clicking on the “LIVE” icon in the top-left corner.

And, as far as live betting goes, Betsixty does the job… okay. It’s nothing groundbreaking or spectacular, it won’t blow you away with its ingenuity, but also, it won’t disappoint you in any way. It offers decent odds and a good selection of betting markets (at least for the bigger football matches, which is what matters most), and it also has a live play option for football where you can monitor the position of the ball and players on the field even if you’re not watching the game. It won’t blow you away, and there are a few things we wish it had implemented (such as live streaming for esports). But it does what it’s supposed to.
