Instead, Betsio does not take the classic path of providing a downloadable application through Google Play or the App Store. Rather, it is implemented as a Progressive Web App (PWA) – a self-contained and lightweight engagement that works in the interface of a browser and acts like a native mobile app.

Both android and iOS devices support the PWA. You can install it by simply clicking the Betsio site and hitting the install App button on the side panel. The icon of the app can be seen on the home screen right after confirming the action as any other app. After installation, it opens in its own window, independent of both the browser and of the mobile webpage, so it has more of a native feel to it than it does a web page.

There is one great advantage of this approach as well as it saves domestic memory. No huge installation package is taking memory because no traditional download is employed. It also does not require regular updates via an app store, which could be useful to people with older generation or lower end smartphones with less available memory. Although it is browser-based, the PWA is fast and maintains the responsiveness of the design, as well as enables all functionalities of the game on the main site.

However, there is no pressure to install the app. The mobile version of Betsio is entirely operational when on browser. It adapts to various screens and can keep all functions, including deposits and withdrawals, opening a game, or contacting support. Access is quick and reliable whether on Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android.

Desktop has no specific software. Instead, Betsio stays browser-based on large screens too, making it easier to access. Nothing needs to be downloaded or installed and all services can be accessed via any modern browser.
