Betgoals Sports Review
Betgoals was founded way back in 2007, which makes it one of the oldest sites we’ve ever reviewed – what an honor! At this point, it’s clear that a ton of players support and trust the site, or else it wouldn’t have lasted so long… but as a potentially new player reading this today, and not in 2007, is it still worth joining? To answer that question, we at BettingSites.CC delved deep in order to uncover every secret about Betgoals!
Granted, it doesn’t take a professional reviewer to uncover the fact that this site sports a whole ton of betting options, including not only the big sports, but also things like hockey, Formula 1, and Olympics racing. This review would need to at least quadruple in size for us to cover each and everry one of them, so instead, we’ll just focus on the most important ones in order to give you a good idea of whether it’s worth signing up for the site!
Football Betting
Ah, football, the sport that seems to have taken the entire world by storm! Go to any country, and while it’s not guaranteed, chances are the average citizen there likes watching football matches, maybe even bet on them, too! That’s precisely why so many betting sites have prioritized football as their primary betting option, but alas, not all of them have done so well. And this includes Betgoals.
With a name like Bet-GOALS, you’d think this site would be the one to provide an unparalleled football betting experience, but alas, it’s actually quite disappointing. Our biggest letdown was the very low number of matches, with only about 400 or so available for wagering at any given point – literally a third of what you’d find at other, much younger bookmakers! Furthermore, most matches (besides the ones from the biggest championships, like UEFA Champion’s League) won’t even offer that many betting markets to pick from, which just makes football betting at Betgoals an overall inferior experience compared to what you’d find at most of its competitors.
Table Tennis Betting
While football is always the most popular sport, #2 is debatable – at some sites it’s tennis, at others it’s basketball, and at Betgoals it’s… table tennis?! Indeed, for whatever strange reason, table tennis has beaten its big court counterpart, as well as sports like American football, hockey, and martial arts to become the second biggest offering here, with around 300 matches (give or take).
Surprisingly, most of the matches you’ll find here are not big, international games, but rather smaller, European leagues. The Czech Republic’s Liga Pro offers maybe half of the matches filling this entire section, and Russia’s own Liga Pro doesn’t fall that far behind. The only global championship, TT Cup, barely has any matches represented, even during its season. Alas, the same problem that plagued football (namely, not enough betting markets for the less popular matches), which overall leads to a mostly unsatisfying betting experience.
Esports Betting
Esports is another huge betting option here at Betgoals, with about 250 matches (again, the number fluctuates based on the tournaments and seasons in play at any given time) spread between five different games. League of Legends and Valorant are by far the most popular ones here, each with a great number of international championships very well represented. In fact, this is one of the very few times in which we’ve seen any bookmaker offer wagers on tournaments like LoL’s Arabian League or Ultraliga, which is genuinely really cool!
Sadly, this section isn’t without its problems, either. For one, the remaining games have very few matches available, which is particularly inexcusable in the case of Counter-Strike, which, at any other bookmaker, would be considered one of the two biggest esports right alongside Dota 2. Speaking of Dota, that game is entirely MIA here at Betgoals, which is less infuriating than it is perplexing. Last, but not least, we noticed that live streaming isn’t available for any of these games. All of them are already streamed for free on Twitch, and considering the fact that most matches are from obscure leagues, it would have helped to have a native integration so we can watch the matches live. But that may be due to another issue, namely…
Live Betting
Live betting here at Betgoals is kind of non-existent. Don’t get us wrong, we’re not saying that it’s not there as a category at all, nor that there aren’t any matches which allow in-play betting! Quite the opposite, you can easily swap to the Live Betting category from the main Sports Betting one, and thus see all of the games which are being played at any moment. Unfortunately, past that, Betgoals doesn’t really give you much to encourage you to actually place those bets.
Many of the more interesting betting markets that are associated with live wagers simply aren’t there at all, and furthermore, the odds don’t seem good enough to justify taking a risk on an in-progress bet. And while you can still watch the in-progress play diagram for football (something that is available at most betting sites), live streaming or other such features are completely absent even when they would have been very easy to implement. It almost feels as if Betgoals only added live betting because they were supposed to, and not because they actually had any good ideas about how to make it an important part of the site that players would enjoy.
Frequently Asked Questions
As of the time of writing, Betgoals supports more than 40 different sports – however, most of them only offer one or two matches to wager on at any given time.
Yes, it is! Virtual sports are available at Betgoals and have their own category near the bottom of the sports section.
The amount and variety of betting markets here will depend entirely on the match you’ve chosen to wager on, as well as the sport. Practically all matches will support 1×2, but other popular markets (like handicaps) will only be available on select matches.
Unfortunately, crypto deposits are not supported here at Betgoals. You can only deposit using a very small number of non-crypto payment options.
Ultimately, it’s up to each player to individually decide whether they wish to trust Betgoals or not. However, given the fact that the site has been in operation since 2007 and has retained a Curacao license this whole time, we don’t believe there is any reason to be suspicious of it.

If you’ve read all of the paragraphs above, you might have noticed me mentioning quite frequently that there simply aren’t enough matches to wager on – and sadly, that’s because this is by far Betgoals’ biggest problem. For all of the biggest sports, it offers maybe a third of what you’d find at most other bookmakers, and for the more niche sports (like Gaelic hurling for instance) it offers just one match, maybe two if you’re lucky. Quite frankly, I don’t think it’s enough. I mean, what’s the point of having all those sports if you’re only going to provide players with one match each?
