20Bet Is it Legit?
20BET: Is it legit?
By now, you’ve certainly heard or read a whole lot of horror stories about fraudulent bookies who never pay out players’ winnings, close down their accounts for no reason, or cite obscure clauses in the terms of service to deny them what they’ve rightfully won. And if you expect us to reassure you that this doesn’t happen… sorry. It does. And that’s precisely why we’re always so careful when examining the bookmakers we review.
As always, we spared no effort in thoroughly researching 20BET, examining all of its publicly available documents and also checking out the opinions of players who have already played within its virtual halls. And while the opinion we present below is professional and well-researched, it’s ultimately just that: an opinion. If you disagree, we urge you to trust your gut more than you trust us, and to do your own research! What’s more important than a bookmaker being safe is it making you FEEL safe!
The Short Answer: Is 20BET Legit?
Yes, after a thorough investigation, we have determined that 20BET is a completely legitimate online bookmaker.
Why Do We Think That?
- Established Owner – 20BET is owned by TechSolutions Group Limited, which already owns quite a few different websites – many of which following the naming format of [Number] [Bet]. What’s important to know here is that there’s a ton of sites following the same format floating around, and many of them aren’t owned by TechSolutions, but are instead trying to imitate them. 20BET is the genuine article, though – and you can find it listed on TechSolutions’ official website.
- Satisfied Players – Okay, but so what if the site belongs to TechSolutions? For all you know, they might be a far scummier company than their imitators, right? Well… not according to what their players have said. Looking at reviews and impressions from punters, most of them appear to have had a very positive experience with 20BET. And while that experience isn’t universal, there’s always bound to be a few players who lost money fair and square and then went on to leave a negative review.
- Two Licenses – Gambling legislation tends to vary across the many countries in which 20BET operates, but most of them will require any gambling site to have a license which indicates that it’s being regulated by a proper authority. Normally, even one license is enough to do the job, but 20BET has gone out of its way to obtain two – Kahnawake and Curacao. This means that if you get scammed, you’ll have not one, but two regulators to report 20BET to!
- Clear Terms of Service – It’s unfortunate, but too many sites we’ve reviewed have concealed some rather unfortunate things behind long, complicated, and, frankly, deliberately confusing terms of service pages. 20BET dosn’t try to pull any of that. Instead, both its terms of service and privacy policy are very clear and explain everything in simple terms, without hiding any traps. As far as we can tell, both are fairly standard as far as online bookmakers go, and there wasn’t anything particular that stood out to us as odd or unusual.
